Assam Rifles Nursing Assistant Selection Process 2025

The selection is conducted in five mandatory stages. Candidates must qualify in every stage — simply clearing a stage does not guarantee selection. Final merit is determined by overall performance across all rounds and availability of vacancies in each state/UT.

1

Physical Standard Test (PST)

Height and weight measurements are checked against prescribed standards for female para-medical candidates. This is a qualifying round — no marks are awarded.

2

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Running endurance is evaluated. Female candidates must cover 1.6 km within the specified time limit. Ladakh region candidates have a separate, adjusted criterion.

3

Written Examination

An offline OMR-based test consisting of 100 MCQs from English Language, Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness (25 questions each).

4

Trade / Skill Test

Assesses practical nursing and para-medical knowledge. Graded as Pass/Fail — only candidates who pass proceed to Medical Examination. No marks are carried forward.

5

Medical Examination (DME)

Detailed Medical Examination to verify physical and medical fitness. Only those who pass all prior stages are eligible. Final merit list is drawn after this stage.

Assam Rifles Nursing Assistant Written Exam Pattern 2025

How to Prepare for Assam Rifles Nursing Assistant Exam 2025

A structured, consistent approach beats last-minute cramming every time. Here’s what toppers and experts consistently recommend:

Start with the syllabus, not the book

Map every topic from this syllabus to a chapter in your study material. Avoid studying topics not listed here — it wastes precious time.

Prioritise General Awareness

For Nursing Assistant specifically, biology, health, and science questions appear frequently. Cover NCERT Class 8–10 Science chapters thoroughly.

Practice reasoning daily

Reasoning Ability is highly scoring if practiced regularly. Solve 30–40 questions daily from series, coding-decoding, and direction problems.

Mock tests every week

Simulate actual exam conditions — 100 questions in 120 minutes. Review your mistakes before the next mock. Track your score trend over time.

Train physically alongside studying

Don’t neglect the PST/PET. Female candidates should run 1.6 km regularly and aim to finish well under 8 minutes for a comfortable buffer.

No negative marking – attempt all

Since there is zero negative marking, never leave a question blank. Eliminate 2 wrong options and make an educated guess from the remaining two.
