Name of Test: Dibrugarh University Admission Test (DUAT), 2026
Formerly Known As: DUPGET
Purpose of Test:
- Admission to 2-year Post Graduate Programmes (MA, MSc, MCom, M.Ed, MCA, MTTM).
- Lateral entry to the Fourth Year (7th Semester) of the Five-Year Integrated Post Graduate Programme (FYIPGP).
Eligibility Criteria for DUAT 2026
1. Lateral Entry (FYIPGP):
Candidates must have successfully completed the 6th semester of FYUG/Integrated PG Programme under NEP 2020 with a minimum of 60 credits in the concerned subject.
2. MA / MSc / MCom Courses:
- Bachelor’s Degree with Major/Honours in the concerned subject with at least 45% marks (or equivalent grade). OR
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the subject applied for and 45% marks in aggregate for General Programme candidates.
Note: Candidates appearing in their final semester (6th Sem) exams in 2026 are also eligible to apply.
Application Fee
Candidates are required to pay the application fee online via Debit Card/Credit Card or Internet Banking.

DUAT 2026 Exam Pattern
- Exam Type: Objective Type (MCQ) on OMR sheet.
- Duration: 2 Hours.
- Total Marks: 100 Marks (150 Marks for Mathematics).
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer (0.50 for Mathematics).
- Medium: English (except for language subjects).
